MEETING OVERVIEW

Attendance:

Call to Oder:

Jeff M called meeting to order at 3:20pm. February minutes approved (Craig Motion, Tory 2nd)

Treasurer's Report:

Financial Summary was reviewed and accepted by board. (Brian Motion, Jason 2nd)

Old Business Discussed:

1. Race/Marshall etiquette:

Racing etiquette discussed – review at drivers meetings to help improve.

2. House Transponders:

Racers are not picking the correct house transponder and it is delaying the race events – Another topic that should be discussed at every drivers meeting. Erik highlighted transponder numbers on heat sheets.

3. Membership Cards:

Need for 2010 membership cards for members. Craig is going to make cards.

4. Member Discount at RCP:

Members receive a discount at RCP if they show membership card and proof of racing. Tory will talk with RCP to determine what proof of racing is and what is acceptable to RCP.

5. New Rockpile Site Update:

Three potential rockpile sites were reviewed. After reviewing site it was determined which site was the best and the board directed Jeff Mann to secure the primary location for the 2010 outdoor season and to continue to pursue the alternative for possible future use.

New Business Discussed:

1. Onroad racing at Marcca:

Marcca discussed and listened to racers concerning future onroad racing at Marcca. It was determined an onroad program would be a positive for Marcca and to allow the use of the track for onroad on any days other than Thursday and Saturday.

2. Weekly Points & Result Posting:

The idea to post results and points standing on Marcca website only to draw people to our site. The board agreed and will now only posts a link Marcca.com for the Points and results.

3. Announcing:

It was suggested someone talk with the race director and ask him to announce the entire field postions, identify the racers and call the battles. The board commented on the outstanding job our race director is doing and our gratitude for him.
