The start of a new year brings change to MARCCA. After 5 quality years of leadership we must say thank you to our former President Hotrod for all he has done for the club and we welcome a new President, Jeff Mann. Brian Roberts after many years as the club secretary has handed off his duties to me – Matt Lust. Many thanks to Brian for all his past and future help and work with the club. Brian continues to stay on as a board member.

MEETING OVERVIEW


Treasurer's Report:

Reminder to all that your 2009 membership has expired and it is time to renew. Craig is going to maintain the membership list and have it available for the race director to verify membership status. Financial Summary was reviewed and accepted by board.


Old Business Discussed:

Elections are over and a big thank you to all members going off the board for there service over the last year.


Director of Competition to be the entire board rather than appointing an individual to the position.


New Rockpile Site Update:

Brian Roberts and Jeff Mann to continue to attend Village of Arlington's Monthly board meetings to try and secure Arlington's closed landfill for a possible future home of the Rockpile. Possible alternative sites are still being sought and members are encourage to keep there eyes open for any possible Rockpile sites.


Capital City Carpet Challenge

Jeff and Eric to design track layout. $350 was allocated to Tory and Jason to purchase door prizes as they see fit. Door Prize tickets to be given one per person entered (not one ticket per class entered).


Marcca/Monroe Race Series:

Dates for Races are Jan. 30 at Monroe and Feb. 13 at Marcca. Jeff Mann to contact and discuss rules with Ryan M. from Monroe. Marcca does not wish to have a club verses club race rather two clubs coming together to race and have fun with only individual points and awards.


Race Directors PA:

Jeff and Eric were allocated $250 to find and purchase a wireless microphone for the club.


LiveRC:

Eric is going to speak with wrench auto (our neighbors) and see if we can use there Internet connection for a fee if necessary ($20 max). Eric was allocated $100 to buy necessary equipment to enable LiveRC to function.


New Business Discussed:

Website needs to be updated and redone – Matt Lust will redo website.


Club needs a different upright vacuum cleaner – Matt Lust likely has one the club can use/have.


New board members need keys to access race track and keys need to be returned from old board members. Brian Roberts will get duplicate keys made.


50/50 Raffle:

To generate funds. A 50/50 raffle was discussed. The raffle will be held at each race and tickets will be $2 for one or $5 for three. We will draw the winner after the last qualifier. 50% of the weekly raffle money will go to the winner and the other 50% will go to the club. First raffle will be at the CCCC Race.


Tory has volunteered to promote the sale of the remaining T-Shirts. Any body want to purchase a club shirt see Tory.


Lifetime membership to be given to Hotrod for his many years of service to the club.


Jeff to change Marcca signs phone number.


Next Meeting to be 2/6/2010.
